Telmisartan blocks the action of angiotensin II, a hormone that narrows blood vessels, leading to blood vessel relaxation and lower blood pressure. Amlodipine prevents calcium from entering blood vessel walls, causing them to widen and reduce pressure. Together, they provide effective and long-term control of hypertension.
Synergistic Effect- refers to the phenomenon in which when two or more drugs combine show greater effect comparfatively when those drugs act individually.
Hypertension (High Blood Pressure) – A chronic condition where blood pressure remains high, increasing the risk of heart disease, stroke, and kidney damage. Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) – A condition where blood vessels supplying the heart become narrow, leading to chest pain and heart attack risk. Heart Failure – A condition where the heart cannot pump blood efficiently, leading to fatigue and swelling.
Telmikind AM Tablet is a combination blood pressure medication containing Telmisartan (to relax blood vessels) and Amlodipine (to prevent blood vessel tightening). It effectively lowers blood pressure, protects the heart, and prevents complications like strokes and kidney disease.
