Is it safe to take Lacosure if I am on Ritonavir therapy?

Be cautious if you are taking Lacosure while on Ritonavir therapy. It is advised to inform your doctor before starting Lacosure. This is because if you are taking Ritonavir for liver or kidney problems then the dose of Lacosure should be modified or reduced.

What if somebody takes excess of Lacosure?

Excess of Lacosure may cause dizziness, nausea, vomiting, seizures, shock, heart problems and even coma. If such a situation arises, seek emergency medical support in a nearby hospital.

Does Lacosure have any effect on fertility?

Lacosure has not been reported to affect fertility in males or females. However, if you are concerned, consult the doctor.

Can I take Lacosure if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?

Though no potential side effects have been reported with the use of Lacosure during pregnancy and breastfeeding, it is best to avoid Lacosure during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

What should I do if I forget a dose of Lacosure?

If you miss a dose of Lacosure within 6 hours of the scheduled time, take it as soon as you remember. No, you need to be careful while driving or operating heavy machinery until and unless you know how Lacosure affects you. Is Lacosure a habit-forming medicine?

Lacosure may cause euphoria (patients may feel extremely happy and overwhelmed) in some individuals who may then take it merely for fun (drug abuse). It is possible that such individuals may become psychologically dependent on this medicine.
