No, you should not stop taking Lacoset even if you start feeling better. Stopping this medicine suddenly may lead to seizures which can be difficult to control. Consult your doctor if you experience any problems while being on treatment with Lacoset. The doctor may adjust the dose or gradually reduce the dose.

Is lacosamide used for nerve pain?

Lacosamide is a sodium-channel blocker that is efficacious in animal models of neuropathic pain. In humans, its effect in neuropathic pain is inconclusive, based on inconsistent results and very large placebo responses.
