How Ocupol DX Eye Ointment 5gm works

It is a combination of two antibiotics (Chloramphenicol, Polymyxin B) and a steroid (Dexamethasone). The antibiotics work by killing the bacteria or stopping their growth. Together, they treat your eye infection effectively. The steroid blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins), making the eye red, swollen, and itchy.

How To Use Ocupol DX Eye Ointment 5gm

  • This medicine is for external use only.
  • Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor.

  • Hold the tube close to the eye without touching it.
  • Gently squeeze the tube and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid.
