Though no potential side effects have been reported with the use of Laxamind during pregnancy and breastfeeding, it is best to avoid Laxamind during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

What if somebody takes excess of Laxamind?

Excess of Laxamind may cause dizziness, nausea, vomiting, seizures, shock, heart problems and even coma. If such a situation arises, seek emergency medical support in a nearby hospital.

Does Laxamind have any effect on fertility?

Laxamind has not been reported to affect fertility in males or females. However, if you are concerned, consult the doctor.

I have been taking Laxamind since nine months and haven’t had any seizures till now. Can I stop taking it now?

No, you should not stop taking Laxamind even if you start feeling better. Stopping this medicine suddenly may lead to seizures which can be difficult to control. Consult your doctor if you experience any problems while being on treatment with Laxamind. The doctor may adjust the dose or gradually reduce the dose.

What should I do if I forget a dose of Laxamind?

If you miss a dose of Laxamind within 6 hours of the scheduled time, take it as soon as you remember. However, if you have forgotten to take the dose for more than 6 hours of the scheduled time then skip the dose and take the next one as scheduled. Do not double the dose to make up for the missed dose.

Is it safe to drive if I am taking Laxamind?

No, you need to be careful while driving or operating heavy machinery until and unless you know how Laxamind affects you. You may experience dizziness or drowsiness and blurred vision, especially during the initial days of treatment. These side effects can also be observed if the dose is increased.

Is it safe to take Laxamind if I am on Ritonavir therapy?

Be cautious if you are taking Laxamind while on Ritonavir therapy. It is advised to inform your doctor before starting Laxamind. This is because if you are taking Ritonavir for liver or kidney problems then the dose of Laxamind should be modified or reduced.

For how long do I need to continue Laxamind?

Is Laxamind a habit-forming medicine?

No, Laxamind is not habit forming. There are no reports which suggest occurrence of withdrawal symptoms following its discontinuation. It is possible that such individuals may become psychologically dependent on this medicine.
