Lacopsy 50mg Tablet 10s is a prescription medicine which is used in the treatment of epilepsy. It controls seizures (more commonly known as fits) by decreasing the abnormal activity of the nerve cells in the brain.

Lacoford 100mg Tablet works by inactivating the sodium gated channels, which reduces the abnormal activity of brain cells. It thus treats epilepsy by controlling the seizures or fits.

No, you should not stop taking Lacopsy even if you start feeling better. Stopping this medicine suddenly may lead to seizures which can be difficult to control. Consult your doctor if you experience any problems while being on treatment with Lacopsy. The doctor may adjust the dose or gradually reduce the dose.

Is Lacopsy a habit-forming medicine?

No, Lacopsy is not habit forming. There are no reports which suggest occurrence of withdrawal symptoms following its discontinuation. Lacopsy may cause euphoria (patients may feel extremely happy and overwhelmed) in some individuals who may then take it merely for fun (drug abuse).
