Based on our results, we suggest that the Combigan dosage should be increased to three times daily in patients with primary open angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension, in whom a small but significant additional reduction in IOP is beneficial.

Does combigan lower blood pressure?

Combigan may decrease your blood pressure. If youre also taking a beta-blocker, your blood pressure may become too low. This can be dangerous and cause blurry vision, dizziness, or fainting. Because Combigan contains a beta-blocker (timolol), you shouldnt use any other beta-blockers while taking Combigan.

What is a normal eye pressure?

What foods should glaucoma patients avoid?

Consuming a high trans fatty acid diet can result in damaging the optic nerve. You should avoid foods like baked goods such as cookies, cakes, donuts or fried items like French fries or stick margarine to steer clear from worsening your glaucoma. It may also improve your eye health.

What is Combigan eye drops used for?

How long does it take for combigan to lower eye pressure?

These two components decrease elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) by complementary mechanisms of action and the combined effect results in additional IOP reduction compared to either compound administered alone. Combigan has a rapid onset of action with peak effect at 2 hours post dosing.

Can glaucoma be stopped?

Timely Diagnosis and Appropriate Treatment are Key to Glaucoma Prevention. While there are no known ways of preventing glaucoma, blindness or significant vision loss from glaucoma can be prevented if the disease is recognized in the early stages.
