This formulation is prepared by mixing Clindamycin and Benzoyl peroxide and it helps in treating pimples present on the skin. Benzoyl peroxide is a keratolytic medicine that has the ability to penetrate the skin and kill the bacteria that cause pimples. Clindamycin is an antibiotic that kills acne-causing bacteria from penetrating the skin. This active constituent prevents bacterial growth by blocking bacterial protein synthesis. Its bacteriostatic effect prevents the multiplication of bacteria. This combination prevents the accumulation of sebum on the skin, works to unblock the pores, and exfoliates the outer layer of the skin.
