Levocetirizine is an antihistamine medication used to alleviate allergy symptoms such as runny nose, sneezing, itchy or watery eyes, and itching of the throat or nose. It is commonly prescribed for allergic rhinitis and chronic idiopathic urticaria.
Use with caution in patients with liver impairment.
Dose adjustment may be required for those with kidney issues.
Levocetirizine works by blocking histamine receptors in the body, thereby reducing the effects of histamine, a substance that causes allergic symptoms.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
