It belongs to a class of medication known as cytoprotectant. It is mainly used to prevent bleeding into the urine caused by the anticancer drug Ifosfamide, particularly Ifosfamide-induced hemorrhagic cystitis.
It is a chemo-protectant that changes the breakdown of anti-cancer agents, reducing their toxicity in the urine.
Use it in dose and duration as prescribed by your doctor.

It is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby however, there are limited human studies.
It is unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Data suggests that the drug may cause toxicity to the baby.
It may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.<BR>As patients undergoing treatment with Uromitexan 200mg Injection may experience undesirable effects such as lightheadedness, lethargy, dizziness, and blurred vision which could affect the ability to drive.
