Introduction to Urimax DX Tablet MR 30s

This medicine is a pharmaceutical preparation which has been prepared by combining two medicines: Tamsulosin and Dutasteride. Tamsulosin is an alpha receptor blocking ingredient that relaxes the muscles present around the bladder exit and prostate gland and facilitates urine to pass easily. Dutasteride is a 5-alpha reductase enzyme inhibitor that reduces the levels of the hormone that causes the prostate gland to enlarge by shrinking the prostate gland.

Can the use of Urimax DX cause dizziness?

Yes, the use of Urimax DX can cause dizziness. Urimax DX contains a combination of Tamsulosin and Dutasteride. Tamsulosin can cause a sudden fall in blood pressure while changing posture from lying to sitting or standing (orthostatic hypotension). This sudden fall in blood pressure can cause dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, sensation of spinning and vertigo. If you feel dizzy or lightheaded, do not drive or use any machines. It is better to rest for some time and resume once you feel better.

Apart from taking medicines, what should I do to manage my prostate symptoms?

Simple lifestyle changes can help you manage your prostate symptoms better. Try to urinate when you first get the urge. However, take care not to strain or push while urinating.
