Telvas 40mg Tablet contains Telmisartan (40mg), which belongs to the class of angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs). It is primarily used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension) and reduce the risk of heart-related complications such as stroke, heart attack, and kidney disease.
This medication works by relaxing blood vessels, allowing blood to flow more easily, thereby lowering blood pressure.
Alcohol intake must be avoided, especially for individuals with high blood pressure.
Due to potential risks to the fetus, it's generally recommended to avoid using it while pregnancy. It may cause serious injury to the fetus when taken in the last 6months of pregnancy.
Due to potential risks to the infant, it's generally recommended to avoid using it while breastfeeding. Alternative medications may be considered under medical supervision.
For people with healthy kidney function, it's typically deemed safe; but if you have any history with kidney-problem consult your doctor.
It's generally considered safe for individuals with normal liver function. However, regular monitoring may be recommended in individuals with pre-existing liver conditions.
Do not drive a car or operate machinery as Telma 40mg tablet 30s may cause dizziness and fainting. Use medication for sometime to understand how it affects you.
