Syndopa CR 125 Tablet is a combination of two medicines used to treat Parkinson’s disease. It is one of the most effective medications to relives symptoms of Parkinson’s disease such as tremors, muscle stiffness, and difficulty moving.
Syndopa CR 125 Tablet can be taken without food but it is better to avoid a high protein diet and dairy products while taking this medicine. However, it is advised to take it at the same time each day as this helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body. Take this medicine in the dose and duration advised by your doctor and if you have missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember it. You should never skip any doses and try to finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Do not stop taking medicine until told by your doctor as it can cause harmful effects.
Take caution while taking medicine if you are suffering from liver or kidney disease. Your doctor should also know about all other medicines you are taking as many of these may make this medicine less effective or change the way it works. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding.
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Syndopa CR 125 Tablet.
Syndopa CR 125 Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.
Syndopa CR 125 Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby. Partial to complete suppression of lactation was seen in mothers on the treatment with Syndopa CR 125 Tablet, but when the treatment was stopped, lactation returned to normal levels.
Syndopa CR 125 Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. As Syndopa CR 125 Tablet may cause dizziness, drowsiness, double vision, which may affect your ability to react which may affect your ability to drive.
Syndopa CR 125 Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Syndopa CR 125 Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

Syndopa CR 125 Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Levodopa and Carbidopa which treats Parkinsonism. Levodopa is a dopamine precursor which gets converted to dopamine, a chemical messenger that controls movement in the brain. Carbidopa is a peripheral decarboxylase inhibitor which prevents breakdown of levodopa allowing it to enter the brain and increase dopamine levels.
