Stocaine Suspension

Stocaine Suspension is identified as an antacid formulation designed to mitigate symptoms such as acid reflux, heartburn, dyspepsia, gastritis, and upset stomach. These issues can arise when there's an erosion of the stomach's protective mucous layer caused by overproduction of gastric acid. 

In this formulation, three therapeutic elements are present: Aluminium hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, and oxetacaine. Both aluminium hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide serve as antacids, which neutralize the surplus acid in the stomach. Oxetacaine, a topical anesthetic, soothes pain by numbing any ulcerative or acid injury in the lining of the stomach.

This composite effectively quells acid-associated discomfort, promoting relief and bolstering gastric health.

The most routinely reported adverse effects include diarrhea, constipation, and hypersensitivity reaction. Normally, these symptoms are short-lived and tend to improve over time. To combat constipation, it's suggested to incorporate fiber-rich foods in your dietary plan and maintain hydration. Dietary changes like the inclusion of cold milk and the avoidance of hot beverages like tea and coffee, as well as spicy meals or chocolate, can enhance the medication's efficacy.
