Sotalar 40 Tablet is used to treat various types of serious irregular heartbeat (arrhythmia) such as fibrillation and tachycardia. It is an anti-arrhythmic type of medicine and rapidly restores your heart to a steady and regular rhythm.

Sotalar 40 Tablet should be taken as advised by your doctor. It may be taken with or without food. Continuous monitoring of blood pressure and heart rate may be needed while taking this medicine. You may experience blurred vision or see a circle around dazzling light (halos). It may also make your eyes dry or sensitive to light. It can even cause permanent blindness. Therefore, consult your doctor in case you experience any such problems while on Sotalar.

Can Sotalar cause dizziness? How do I prevent it?

Yes. Sotalar can cause dizziness as a side effect. If this happens to you, you should sit or lie down until the symptoms pass. However, this is temporary and usually goes away as the treatment continues. Also, you should avoid alcohol while taking it, as it may worsen the dizziness.
