Salmcort SF 125mg Inhaler is a combined pharmaceutical preparation effective in treating asthmatic symptoms and COPD.
It contains Fluticasone which is a corticosteroid that acts by reducing inflammation and helps to open the air passage.
Another active constituent is Salmeterol; a long-acting beta 2 adrenergic receptor that acts on smooth muscles in bronchioles and helps to keep the airway open.
Salmcort SF 125mg Inhaler should be taken cautiously by liver patients as it may exacerbate liver conditions.
Salmcort SF 125mg Inhaler should be used cautiously by kidney patients.
Limit or avoid alcohol consumption while using Salmcort SF 125mg Inhaler as may interfere with the medication’s effectiveness.
Driving ability generally does not impair after taking Salmcort SF 125mg Inhaler; but if you experience any side effects like dizziness or sleepiness, its better to avoid driving.
Salmcort SF 125mg Inhaler should be used under the guidance of a doctor in case of a pregnant women.
Both fluticasone and salmeterol are excreted in small amounts in breast milk; so do not take the medicine without consulting a doctor.
There are two active ingredients present in this: Fluticasone and Salmeterol. Fluticasone ultimately reduces inflammation by inhibiting certain types of inflammatory cells and decreasing the production of inflammatory mediators. Salmeterol binds with beta 2 adrenergic receptors present in bronchial smooth muscles to relax and dilate them, making breathing easier. This dual action prevents exacerbation of asthmatic symptoms and facilitates lung function in COPD patients.
