Can I take ciprofloxacin while I am taking Revlamer?

Ciprofloxacin may interfere with the working of Revlamer and therefore it should not be taken at the same time as Revlamer. However, if taken together then a gap of at least 2 hours before or 6 hours after taking Revlamer should be maintained.

Can Revlamer be crushed?

No, you should not crush, chew, or break Revlamer into pieces. You should swallow it as a whole with water.

Who should not take Revlamer?

Patients who are allergic to Revlamer and who have low levels of phosphate in blood should avoid taking Revlamer. Additionally, patients having intestinal obstruction should also avoid using Revlamer.

How long do I need to take Revlamer?

Continue taking Revlamer as long as recommended by your doctor. Revlamer lowers your dietary phosphate levels but does not cure your disease. Hence, you may have to take it life long, as stopping Revlamer may result in an increase in your phosphate levels.

Do I need to have any tests while taking Revlamer?

Yes, serum phosphate levels should be monitored regularly while you are taking Revlamer. Also, the use of Revlamer may decrease the levels of vitamin D, A, E, K, and folic acid and hence the levels need to be monitored during the treatment.

Does Revlamer cause constipation?

A common side effect of Revlamer is constipation, though it does not occur in everyone. The other common side effects of stomach and intestine include diarrhea, indigestion, flatulence, and pain in abdomen. Immediately consult your doctor if these side effects become severe and disturb you.

Is Revlamer taken with food?
