The treatment for hypertension (high blood pressure) is LOSARTAN+ATENOLOL. A chronic or permanent illness known as hypertension, or high blood pressure, occurs when the blood pressure is too high against the walls of the arteries. Damage to blood arteries as a result of this may result in heart disease, stroke, renal disease, and other issues.
Take LOSARTAN+ATENOLOL with caution, particularly if you have a history of liver disorders or illnesses. Your doctor may need to change the dosage.
Take LOSARTAN+ATENOLOL with caution, particularly if you have a history of kidney disorders or illnesses. Your doctor may need to change the dosage.
When using LOSARTAN+ATENOLOL, avoid drinking alcohol as it may make you feel lightheaded or dizzy.
Some people may experience drowsiness or dizziness when taking LOSARTAN+ATENOLOL. Consequently, after taking LOSARTAN+ATENOLOL, only drive if you are alert.
The renin-angiotensin system is impacted by the usage of LOSARTAN+ATENOLOL throughout the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, which may result in harm or even death to the unborn child. Therefore, LOSARTAN+ATENOLOL should be stopped as soon as pregnancy is found.
As breastfeeding could be harmful to the unborn child, avoid doing so while taking LOSARTAN+ATENOLOL.
The combination medication LOSARTAN+ATENOLOL contains beta-blocker Atenolol and angiotensin II receptor blocker Losartan. Losartan works by blocking a hormone called angiotensin II thereby preventing blood vessels from narrowing, decreasing the blood pressure, and enhancing the overall blood flow.
Hypertension: The force with which our heart pumps blood to every region of our body is measured by blood pressure. A chronic illness known as hypertension is excessively high blood pressure. This illness may cause blood vessels, or arteries, to stiffen, which would reduce the heart's ability to pump blood and oxygen. Angina (chest pain) and heart attacks (heart block) can be brought on by elevated blood pressure.
