How Qualiderm Cream works

Qualiderm Cream is a combination of three medicines: Betamethasone, Gentamicin and Tolnaftate which treat skin infections. Betamethasone is a steroid medicine. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy after an allergy or infection. Gentamicin is an antibiotic which kills bacteria by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Tolnaftate is an antifungal which stops the growth of fungi by preventing them from forming their own protective covering.
