It contains three active ingredients: Potassium Citrate, Magnesium Citrate, and Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine). Potassium Citrate alkalinizes urine and prevents kidney stone formation by increasing pH and potassium levels in urine. Magnesium Citrate acts as a laxative and supports muscle and nerve functions by replenishing magnesium levels. Vitamin B6 is involved in amino acid metabolism and synthesis of neurotransmitters, it prevents stone formation in the kidney by reducing the production of oxalate.
Low potassium level also known as hypokalemia is a condition in which the level of potassium in the blood appears to be abnormally low which results in muscle cramping, weakness, fatigue and abnormal heart rhythms. Potassium level can be low due to inadequate potassium level in the diet, excessive loss of potassium, and side effects of certain medicines.
