This is a combination of Paradichlorobenzene, Chlorbutol, Benzocaine, and Turpentine Oil which belongs to the Otic agent group of medicines, Wax Softeners, Local anaesthetic, and Lubricating agent. Clearwax Eardrops 10ml uses in the treatment of those patients who are suffering from impacted wax and keratosis. Keratosis causes keratin formation in the ear canal. Benzocaine is a local anaesthetic that acts on nerve pathways to reduce pain sensations. Paradichlorobenzene helps in reducing the thickness of impacted wax and helps in removing it easily. Chlorbutol is a wax softener and Turpentine oil is a lubricating agent which reduces dryness by lubricating the ear canal.
Earwax build-up occurs due to an ear infection, inflammation, injury, or other conditions such as bone deformations in the ear, skin diseases such as eczema (skin inflammation), or narrowed ear canals.
OTOREX EAR DROPS 10ML contains Paradichlorobenzene, Benzocaine, Chlorobutanol, and Turpentine oil. These medicines help to soften the wax and help in the movement of earwax outside the ear canal. This effect also helps to reduce ear pain caused by impacted earwax.
Keep this medicine in the container or the pack it came in, tightly closed. Store it according to the instructions mentioned on the pack or label. Dispose of the unused medicine. Make sure it is not consumed by pets, children and other people.
If your ears are plugged, try swallowing, yawning or chewing sugar-free gum to open your eustachian tubes. If this doesnt work, take a deep breath and try to blow out of your nose gently while pinching your nostrils closed and keeping your mouth shut. If you hear a popping noise, you know you have succeeded.
Use this medication in the affected ear(s) as directed by your doctor, usually 3 to 4 times daily. Use in the ear only. Do not use in the eyes, swallow, inject, or inhale the medication. Before giving this medication, thoroughly clean the ear canal as directed, and remove any crust or other material.
Consult your doctor before using $ame in children under the age of 12.
Common side effects may include: headache; dizziness; or. mild ear pain or itching after using the ear drops.
Your doctor can remove excess wax using a small, curved instrument called a curet or by using suction while inspecting the ear. Your doctor can also flush out the wax using a water pick or a rubber-bulb syringe filled with warm water.
Use a few drops of warmed olive oil, mineral oil, almond oil, baby oil, or glycerin ear drops or sprays in the ear to soften the wax. Use hydrogen peroxide drops. Over-the-counter (OTC) products are available for wax removal, such as Debrox or Murine Ear Drops.
