Chlorthalidone is a diuretic known as a water pill, that prevents fluid retention by removing excess salt and water from the body. Cilnidipine blocks beta-receptors in the heart. These medicines in combination lower blood pressure preventing the risk of heart attack, stroke, and fluid retention.
