To get an accurate reading when taking your blood pressure with a wrist monitor, your arm and wrist must be at heart level. Even then, blood pressure measurements taken at the wrist are usually higher and less accurate than those taken at your upper arm.

There are few minor differences between the two model. BP742 have a memory of 60 whereas Bp742N have 100. The BP742N had BP Level Indicator, which is missing in the older version. BP742N default cuff size is from 9” to 17”.
After showing your blood pressure, the cuff will deflate on its own. With most machines, you must wait for 2 to 3 minutes before using it again. A digital blood pressure monitor will not be as accurate if your body is moving when you are using it. Also, an irregular heart rate will make the reading less accurate.
