It is a combination of Ofloxacin and Dexamethasone in which Ofloxacin has antibacterial properties which prevent the cells of the bacteria from dividing and preparing and lead to the ultimate killing of the bacteria. Dexamethasone is a steroidal preparation that relieves eye redness, itchiness, and swelling by blocking the production of prostaglandin (a chemical messenger).
