Introduction to Nervmax SR 150 Tablet

Nervmax SR 150 Tablet is taken by mouth with or without food, preferably at bedtime. It is advised to take it at the same time each day as this helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body. Take this medicine in the dose and duration advised by your doctor as this is a habit-forming medicine. If you miss a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. Finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. It is important that this medication is not stopped suddenly without talking to the doctor.

Some common side effects of this medicine includes dizziness and sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. The side effects are mild in nature and get improve with time. This medicine may cause weight gain and to control it, you should exercise regularly and take a balanced diet. How Nervmax SR 150 Tablet works

Nervmax SR 150 Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Methylcobalamin/Mecobalamin and Pregabalin. Methylcobalamin/Mecobalamin is a form of vitamin B which helps in the production of myelin, a substance that protects nerve fibers and rejuvenates damaged nerve cells. Pregabalin is an alpha 2 delta ligand which decreases the pain by modulating calcium channel activity of the nerve cells. Together, they relieve neuropathic pain (pain from damaged nerves).

How To Use Nervmax SR 150 Tablet

  • Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Nervmax SR 150 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Can I stop taking Nervmax when my pain is relieved?

No, you should not stop taking Nervmax even if your pain is relieved. Continue to take it as advised by your doctor. How to manage weight gain associated with the use of Nervmax?

Nervmax can make you feel hungry which might make you eat more, thereby increasing your chances of putting on weight. However, preventing weight gain is easier than losing the increased weight. Try to eat a healthy balanced diet without increasing your portion sizes (per-meal intake). Do not eat food items that contain a lot of calories, such as soft drinks, oily food, chips, cakes, biscuits, and sweets. If you feel hungry between meals, avoid eating junk food and eat fruits, vegetables and low-calorie foods. Regular exercise will help prevent weight gain. If you maintain good eating habits and exercise regularly, you might not gain any weight.

Will a higher than the recommended dose of Nervmax be more effective?

No, taking a higher than the recommended dose may not be more effective, rather it may increase the chances of having some serious side effects and toxicity.
