Carbimazole inhibits the thyroid gland's ability to produce thyroid hormones (T3 and T4) by blocking the incorporation of iodine into the hormones. This reduces the excess production of thyroid hormones, helping to alleviate symptoms of hyperthyroidism.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it’s near the time of your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed one.
