How Micrhogam UF 50mcg Injection works
Anti-Rh D immunoglobulin belongs to class of drugs called immunoglobulin. It removes or nullifies any fetal rhesus-D positive red blood cells that enter the rhesus-D negative maternal blood stream during childbirth, abortion, or any accident or intervention during pregnancy which might lead to bleeding across the placenta.

Micrhogam UF is needed to prevent a disease called Rhesus disease. This can help to avoid a process known as sensitisation in women. This is a condition when a woman with RhD negative blood is exposed to RhD positive blood and develops an immune response to it.
What does anti-D antibody mean?
If youre RhD negative, your blood will be checked for the antibodies (known as anti-D antibodies) that destroy RhD positive red blood cells. If anti-D antibodies are detected in your blood during pregnancy, theres a risk that your unborn baby may get affected by rhesus disease.
