Lurafic 40 Tablet should be taken with food. However, it is advised to take it at the same time each day as this helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body. How long does Lurafic take to work?

What should be avoided while taking Lurafic?

Alcohol should be avoided while taking Lurafic since taking both together may cause severe side effects. In addition to that, you should not drink grapefruit juice while on Lurafic since it affects the way it works.

Does Lurafic cause weight gain?

Weight gain is a common side effect of Lurafic, though not everyone is affected. If you experience weight gain on taking Lurafic, talk to your doctor or a nutritionist. Eating a healthy diet and exercising regularly can help you maintain your weight.

Lurafic can cause increased risk of death in elderly people who have confusion, memory loss or have lost touch with reality (dementia-related psychosis). Can Lurafic be used during pregnancy?

Lurafic should be avoided during pregnancy unless this has been prescribed by your doctor. Your doctor will monitor your baby closely after birth because giving Lurafic during the last 3 months to the mother may cause shaking, sleepiness, agitation, breathing problems, difficulty in feeding and muscle stiffness and/or weakness in the baby.
