Lotensyl 10 Tablet is a medicine used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). It belongs to a group of medicines known as calcium channel blockers and helps to lower blood pressure and reduce the workload of the heart. This helps prevent heart attacks and strokes.
Lotensyl 10 Tablet may be prescribed alone or along with other medicines. The dose depends on your blood pressure levels and the severity of your condition. You can take it at any time of the day, but it is best to take it at the same time each day. It should be taken on an empty stomach, at least 15 minutes before a meal. Keep taking it for as long as advised by your doctor. Even if you feel well, do not stop this medicine on your own because high blood pressure often has no symptoms. If you stop taking it, your condition may get worse.

Lotensyl 10 Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.
Lotensyl 10 Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Lotensyl 10 Tablet may cause dizziness or weakness due to low blood pressure. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Lotensyl 10 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Lotensyl 10 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Use of Lotensyl 10 Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
