What is leflunomide 10 mg used for?

Leflunomide Winthrop is used to treat adult patients with active rheumatoid arthritis or with active psoriatic arthritis. Symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis include inflammation of joints, swelling, difficulty moving and pain.

Five of the six trials had similar results (treatment with leflunomide and methotrexate were equally effective). In one study that compared leflunomide with methotrexate at 12 months and two years, improvements with methotrexate were significantly greater than those with leflunomide.
