How KYMOVIL SV TABLET works

This drug is a combination medicine that is formulated from four medicines: Bromelain, Diclofenac, Trypsin, and Rutoside. Trypsin and Bromelain are enzymes, they send a message to the body by increasing the blood supply to release substances that fight pain and swelling. Rutoside is an antioxidant that reduces inflammation by protecting the body from free radical damage. Diclofenac is an NSAID that reduces pain and inflammation by blocking the release of prostaglandins from the brain.

  • The dose recommended by the doctor should be taken as per the time prescribed by the doctor.
  • This medicine should be taken after eating food, but take it at a same time every day.

Kymovil SV is usually used for short term and can be discontinued when pain and swelling are relieved. However, Kymovil SV should be continued if the doctor has advised you to do so.

The use of Kymovil SV is considered to be harmful for patients with known allergy to painkillers (NSAIDs) or any of the components or excipients of this medicine. Yes, the use of Kymovil SV can cause dizziness (feeling faint, weak, unsteady or lightheaded) in some patients. If you feel dizzy or lightheaded, it is better to rest for some time and resume once you feel better.

Can the use of Kymovil SV cause nausea and vomiting?

Yes, the use of Kymovil SV can cause nausea and vomiting. Taking it with milk, food or with antacids can prevent nausea. Avoid taking fatty or fried foods along with this medicine. In case of vomiting, drink plenty of water or other fluids by taking small frequent sips. Talk to your doctor if vomiting persists and you notice signs of dehydration, like dark colored and strong-smelling urine and a low frequency of urination. Do not take any other medicine without speaking to a doctor.
