Camphor, mannitol, terpinol, eucalyptus oil, and chlorothymol have been used in this formulation. Camphor provides a cooling sensation, relieves minor pain and itching, and provides a soothing effect in the respiratory passage by acting like a decongestant. Chlorothymol has antiseptic properties which give a soothing effect to the inflamed tissues in the respiratory tract by reducing bacterial infections. Eucalyptus oil is an anti-inflammatory agent and natural decongestant that promotes clear breathing by providing relief from respiratory issues. Mannitol helps in reducing the viscosity of mucus by acting as a cough suppressant and osmotic diuretic and also resolves respiratory issues. Terpinol aids in thinning mucus in the respiratory tract, eases expulsion, and relieves congestion.
