Glycopyre 0.2mg Injection consists of the active constituent Glycopyrrolate. It is indicated as an adjunct treatment in peptic ulcer, blockage of secretion and reflexes before surgery and reduction of catheter-related bladder discomfort after surgery. Catheter-related bladder discomfort is characterized by a burning sensation and urges due to stimulation by a catheter. This injection is administered for gastrointestinal disorders when oral therapy is ineffective.
Glycopyre 0.2mg Injection works by inhibiting the action of acetylcholine present in the nerves and smooth muscles. It protects the heart from getting excessively stimulated and also reduces secretions from the pharynx, bronchi and trachea during anaesthesia. It counteracts the undesirable effects caused by muscle relaxants.
