This is a combination of teen antibiotic medicines: Pioglitazone, Gliclazide, and Metformin. It follows different mechanism to control blood sugar level when single or dual therapy shows no effect. Gliclazide is a sulfonylurea that increases the amount of insulin released from the pancreas to lower blood glucose levels. Pioglitazone is a thiazolidinedione that increases insulin sensitivity. Metformin is a biguanide that delays glucose absorption in the intestine by reducing glucose production in the liver and making the body more sensitive to insulin.
Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a condition of high blood sugar level despite the production of sufficient amounts of insulin in your body. This happens because of insulin resistance, which means the cells become resistant to insulin and are not able to use it effectively. It can lead to symptoms like increased thirst, frequent urination, and fatigue.
