It is an antiseptic and disinfectant agent containing Povidone iodine and is used to treat and prevent infection in cuts, minor burns, and abrasions.
It controls the growth of harmful microbes by killing them and preventing infection in the affected area.
It is also used prior to surgery to reduce the microbial load of the skin.
It is a broad-spectrum antiseptic and is effective against a wide range of infection-causing microbes.

How Gleniguard Solution works

Povidone iodine inhibits the growth of infection-causing microbes by penetrating micro-organisms and oxidizing essential proteins, nucleotides, and fatty acid resulting to the death of cells.

How To Use Gleniguard Solution

Rinse the affected area with plain water. Pat dry with a clean cloth.
Take a small amount of Betadine 10% Solution on a cotton ball and apply it to the affected area.
Let the area air dry for some time.
When dry, cover it with a sterile gauze or dressing.
Ask your doctor how often you must repeat the application.
Discontinue use if you notice irritation or an allergic reaction.
Gleniguard Solution is meant for external use and must be applied topically on the skin.

How should Gleniguard solution be applied to an injury?

Clean the affected area and apply a small amount of the medicine to it. You can then cover it with a sterile bandage. You can apply this medicine 1 to 3 times daily. However, do not use it for longer than 1 week.
