Francip-D Eye/Ear Drops is a combination of two medicines: Ciprofloxacin and Betamethasone. Ciprofloxacin is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing them from reproducing and repairing themselves. Betamethasone is a steroid medicine. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the eye red, swollen and itchy.
Usually, Francip-D Eye/Ear Drops starts working soon after applying it. However, it may take some days to kill all the harmful bacteria and make you feel better.
No, do not stop taking Francip-D Eye/Ear Drops and complete the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Your symptoms may improve before the infection is completely cured.
