This medicine belongs to a group of immunosuppressants. This is used in combination with other medicines and prevents the body from graft rejection (rejection of an organ). The body's immune system tends to eliminate the transplanted organ from body so suppressing the immune system helps to prevent the new organ.

It is unsafe to use during pregnancy as it may cause abortion or birth defects.
It is unsafe to use while breastfeeding an infant; it may pass through breast milk to the developing baby.
This medicine contains Mycophenolate mofetil which has immunity-suppressing properties. It reduces the action of the body's defense system and prevents rejection of the transplanted organ.
