Endoxan N 1000mg Injection belongs to DNA alkylating agent, which is used as an anticancer and anti immunity drug. It is used in the treatment for various malignant diseases Hodgkin’s disease, Burkitt’s lymphoma etc. It may be also used to treat other conditions, as determined by the doctor.

It works by damaging the genetic material (DNA and RNA) of cancer cells which helps to treat cancer by killing the cancer cells.

It is given as an injection into a vein by the healthcare professional, but better if injected at the same time every day.  You are advised to take the medicine for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. Do not be reluctant to talk with your doctor if you experience any of the side effects persistently.

Can Endoxan N cause infertility?

Yes, Endoxan N can cause infertility in both men and women. It may interfere with the normal menstrual cycle in women and may stop sperm production in men. If you are considering becoming parents after the treatment please discuss this with your doctor. Talk to your doctor about cryopreservation (freezing) of sperm or eggs prior to treatment because of the possibility of irreversible infertility due to therapy with Endoxan N.

Can Endoxan N be used for non-cancer condition?

Yes, Endoxan N can be used to treat nephrotic syndrome (a disease that is caused by damage to the kidneys) in children whose disease has not improved, has gotten worse, or has come back after taking other medications. Along with that, it can be used in children who experienced intolerable side effects with other medications. However, in adults, the safety and effectiveness of Endoxan N for nephrotic syndrome has not been established.
