How Eldomac 2mg Capsule works

Loperamide: Acts on the opioid receptors in the gut wall, reducing peristalsis (the wave-like muscle contractions that move food through the digestive tract) and increasing the absorption of fluids and electrolytes from the intestines. This results in firmer stools and less frequent bowel movements.

How To Use Eldomac 2mg Capsule

  • Dosage: Follow the dosage prescribed by your healthcare provider.
  • Typically, for acute diarrhea, the initial dose for adults is 2 capsules (4mg), followed by 1 capsule (2mg) after each loose stool. Do not exceed 8 capsules (16mg) in a 24-hour period.
  • Administration: Take the capsule orally with a glass of water. It can be taken with or without food.
