Dynaglipt M 500mg/20mg Tablet SR is a combination medication that contains Metformin (500mg) and Teneligliptin (20mg), designed to help manage blood sugar levels in individuals with Type 2 diabetes. Metformin is a well-established medication that helps lower blood glucose levels by improving insulin sensitivity, while Teneligliptin belongs to the DPP-4 inhibitor class and works by enhancing the body’s ability to regulate blood sugar. Together, these two ingredients provide a comprehensive approach to controlling blood sugar, making Dynaglipt M an effective treatment for Type 2 diabetes.
Limit alcohol consumption while using Dynaglipt M. Alcohol can increase the risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) and may interact with Metformin, potentially causing lactic acidosis (a rare but serious condition).
Dynaglipt M should not be used during pregnancy unless specifically prescribed by a doctor. If you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, consult your healthcare provider for advice.
It is not known if Dynaglipt M passes into breast milk. It is advisable to consult your doctor before breastfeeding while using this medication.
Dynaglipt M generally does not cause drowsiness or impair driving abilities. However, if you experience low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) due to other diabetes medications, avoid driving or operating heavy machinery until you feel better.
Dynaglipt M 500mg/20mg Tablet SR is a combination medication that controls blood sugar levels through two active ingredients: Metformin (500mg) and Teneligliptin (20mg). Metformin works by reducing glucose production in the liver and enhancing the body’s sensitivity to insulin, helping lower blood sugar and reducing insulin resistance, which is common in Type 2 diabetes. Teneligliptin, a DPP-4 inhibitor, increases the levels of incretin hormones that stimulate insulin secretion from the pancreas in response to meals and decrease glucose production in the liver. The sustained-release formulation of Dynaglipt M provides gradual drug release, ensuring long-lasting control of blood sugar levels throughout the day.
Type 2 diabetes is a chronic condition where the body either becomes resistant to insulin or doesn’t produce enough insulin to regulate blood sugar levels effectively. This can lead to elevated blood sugar levels, which over time can cause complications such as heart disease, nerve damage, kidney problems, and eye issues.
