Its formulation has two main constituents Dapagliflozin and Metformin. Dapagliflozin reduces glucose reabsorption and increases the excretion of glucose in urine. It also reduces the glucose level in the blood. Metformin improves glycaemic control in diabetes conditions by increasing the insulin level in the body.
Chronic type 2 diabetes mellitus raises blood sugar levels by interfering with the body''s ability to metabolize glucose, or blood sugar. It happens when the pancreas is unable to produce enough insulin or when the body develops an immunity to insulin.
