How Clopex-GM Cream works

It is prepared from the combination of three medicines: Miconazole, Clobetasol, and Neomycin. Clobetasol is a steroidal medicine that causes redness in the skin by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins); reduce itching and swelling. Miconazole is an antifungal by interfering with the growth of fungi, preventing them from forming their protective covering. Neomycin is an antibiotic that inhibits the growth of bacteria by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins that are necessary for bacteria to perform vital functions.

This medicine contains clobetasol which when used in higher doses and for longer periods can get absorbed in the blood and cause adrenal suppression and Cushings syndrome. It can cause weight gain, high blood pressure and rounding of the face. Its application can cause a change in color of skin at the site of application. Veins beneath the skin become visible due to the thinning and weakening of the skin. There could be an increased hair growth. If you experience an increased severity of your symptoms, please consult your doctor for re-evaluation.

Can I stop taking Clopex-GM when my symptoms are relieved?

No, do not stop using Clopex-GM and complete the full course of the treatment, even if you feel better. Your symptoms may improve before the infection is completely cured.

How to use Clopex-GM?

Clopex-GM should be used as advised by the doctor or as per the instructions on the label of the medicine. Apply a thin layer of it to cover the affected areas.
