The medication ASPIRIN+CLOPIDOGREL is used to prevent stroke and heart attacks. A heart attack happens when a clot obstructs the heart's blood supply. The most common cause of this artery obstruction is a buildup of fat, cholesterol, and other materials that create plaque in the coronary arteries, which supply the heart.

Aspirin and Clopidogrel are the two medications that make up ASPIRIN+CLOPIDOGREL. These anti-platelet blood thinners work to stop clots from forming in blood vessels. A heart attack, stroke, deep vein thrombosis (blood clot in the vein), and pulmonary embolism (blood clots in the lungs' arteries) are all prevented by CLOPIDOGREL + ASPIRIN helping the blood flow freely.

Stroke: Our brain begins to die within minutes of insufficient oxygen and blood supply, which can result in a heart attack or stroke. Heart attack: This happens when the heart's blood supply is obstructed by a blood clot. A myocardial infarction, or heart attack, occurs when the blood supply that provides oxygen to the heart is severed.

Can we take Ecosprin daily?

Daily low-dose aspirin makes the blood less sticky and helps to prevent heart attacks and stroke. Its usual to take a dose of 75mg once a day. Sometimes doses may be higher. Its best to take low-dose aspirin with food so it doesnt upset your stomach.

Is Clavix-AS a blood thinner?

Yes, Clavix-AS is a type of blood thinner. It works by preventing platelets (type of blood cells) from sticking together and forming clots. This action of Clavix-AS helps in preventing conditions like heart attack or stroke in people with heart disease, who have recently suffered a heart attack or severe heart-related chest pain (unstable angina).

Do I need to stop Clavix-AS before surgery?

Your doctor will decide whether you need to stop taking Clavix-AS before any surgery or treatment or not. Usually, if a surgery or treatment is planned beforehand, the doctor may stop Clavix-AS a few days (usually 7 days) before the surgery or treatment owing to the increased risk of bleeding during the procedure. The duration will be decided after considering various factors like the illness you are being treated for, type of stent inserted, any episodes of bleeding experienced by you during treatment, etc. Usually, Clavix-AS is prescribed for a minimum duration of 1 year. However, it is advised to follow your doctors advice precisely to get maximum benefit of Clavix-AS. Do not stop the medication on your own, consult your doctor first. Sudden discontinuation may increase the chances of clot formation in the stent, heart attack and can even lead to death.

Can I drink alcohol while taking Clavix-AS?

It is not advised to take alcohol while taking Clavix-AS, as alcohol may increase your chance of stomach bleeding. As a result, you may vomit blood (which may be bright red blood or black/dark brown like coffee grounds) or you may have bloody or black tarry stools. Discuss with your doctor if you are not sure.

Deplatt A 150 Tablet is a combination of two antiplatelet medicines or blood thinner used to reduce the formation of harmful blood clots in blood vessels. This helps to prevent a heart attack or stroke in people with heart disease.

Who should not take Clavix-AS?

Clavix-AS is not recommended for people who are allergic to it or any of its ingredients. Do not take Clavix-AS if you have or ever had severe liver disease, stomach ulcers, bleeding in the brain (stroke or a transient ischemic attack, also known as TIA), or if you have a bleeding disorder known as hemophilia (disease in which blood does not clot normally). Additionally, avoid taking Clavix-AS if you are trying to get pregnant, already pregnant, or breastfeeding.

Is 150 mg aspirin safe?
