Introduction to Chymoral-AP Tablets

Chymoral-AP Tablet is a pain relieving medicine. It is used to treat pain and inflammation in conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and osteoarthritis. It may also be used to relieve muscle pain, back pain, toothache, or pain in the ear and throat.

Chymoral-AP Tablet should be taken with food. This will prevent you from getting an upset stomach. The dose and duration will depend on what you are taking it for and how well it helps your symptoms. You should take it as advised by your doctor. Do not take more or use it for longer duration than recommended by the doctor. Before taking it, you should let your doctor know if you have a history of ulcer or bleeding in your stomach, high blood pressure, or have any problems with your heart, kidneys, or liver. How Chymoral-AP Tablets works

Chymoral-AP Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Aceclofenac, Paracetamol and Trypsin Chymotrypsin, which relieves pain. Aceclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) and Paracetamol is an antipyretic (fever reducer). They work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and fever. Trypsin Chymotrypsin is a combination of enzymes which break down proteins into smaller fragments, thereby making them available for absorption into the blood. Once absorbed, they increase blood supply in the affected area and reduce swelling.

Take this medication by mouth, usually every 4 to 6 hours with a full glass of water (8 ounces or 240 milliliters), or as directed by your doctor. Do not lie down for at least 10 minutes after taking this drug. If stomach upset occurs while taking this medication, take it with food, milk, or an antacid.

Can I get addicted to Chymoral-AP Tablet?

No, there is no report of any patient getting addicted to Chymoral-AP Tablet.

What is the use of trypsin tablet?

Trypsin is given to people who lack enzymes needed for digestion. It is also given in combination with bromelain and rutin for treatment of osteoarthritis. Some people apply trypsin directly to wounds and ulcers to remove dead tissue and improve healing.

What is the function of chymotrypsin?

Chymotrypsin (Chy or α-Chy) is a digestive enzyme containing an active serine residue, which helps to digest proteins in our food.

Can the use of Chymoral-AP Tablet cause damage to liver?

Chymoral-AP Tablet contains Paracetamol. This medicine is known to cause harm to the liver especially in the doses above the recommended level. Also, avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine, as it may further increase your risk of liver damage. Use of this medicine should preferably be avoided in patients with underlying liver disease. Contact your doctor immediately if you notice any early signs and symptoms of liver damage. These symptoms may include fever, rash, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, stomach pain, dark urine, yellow skin or eyes and abnormal liver enzymes.

Can I stop taking Chymoral-AP Tablet when my pain is relieved?

Chymoral-AP Tablet is usually used for short term and can be discontinued when your pain is relieved. However, Chymoral-AP Tablet should be continued if your doctor has advised you to do so.

Can the use of Chymoral-AP Tablet cause damage to kidneys?

Yes, long-term use of Chymoral-AP Tablet can cause damage to the kidneys. Normal kidneys produce a chemical called prostaglandins that protects them from damage. Use of painkillers lowers the levels of prostaglandins in the body leading to kidney damage due to long-term use. Use of painkillers is not recommended to patients with underlying kidney disease.
