It is a hematopoietic stem cell mobilizer. It is used in Autologous stem cell transplant procedures. It is used to remove specific blood cells from the body for transplantation following chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy in patients with certain cancers.
It stimulates certain blood cells to move from the bone marrow into the bloodstream for collection and later transplant.
Use it in dose and duration as prescribed by your doctor.
It is not known whether it is safe to consume alcohol with this drug. Please consult your doctor.
It is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.
It is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
It is not known whether this drug alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.
It should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of this drug may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
There is limited information available on the use of this drug in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor.
