Calcitas-D3 Capsule 4s belongs to the class of Vitamins, primarily used to treat low blood calcium levels. Calcitas-D3 Capsule 4s effectively treats various conditions in the body like deficiency of Vitamin D, rickets or osteomalacia, osteoporosis, hypoparathyroidism, and latent tetany.
Alcohol intake can interfere with calcium absorption, hence it is suggested to limit the consumption of alcohol while using Calcitas-D3 Capsule 4s.
One should use higher doses of Calcitas-D3 Capsule 4s than the daily dietary allowance as per the doctor's recommendation. Your doctor will weigh the potential risks and benefits before prescribing Calcitas-D3 Capsule 4s.
A doctor's consultation is of the utmost importance before taking Calcitas-D3 Capsule 4s if you are breastfeeding. Calcitas-D3 Capsule 4s can easily pass through the breast milk. If Calcitas-D3 Capsule 4s is used during breastfeeding, please monitor the mother and the infant's serum calcium levels.
If you experience any dizziness while using Calcitas-D3 Capsule 4s, do not drive or operate machinery.
A doctor's advice is of utmost importance before starting the supplement if you are suffering from any sort of kidney disease like kidney stones or if you are on dialysis. It is important to act cautiously in dialysis patients to avoid disturbing the phosphorous level and avoid calcium deposition.
Let your doctor know if you have any history of liver diseases before taking Calcitas-D3 Capsule 4s. Liver disease may modify the metabolic activity and therapeutic activity of certain Vitamin D forms.
Calcitas-D3 Capsule 4s contains Cholecalciferol which is an active form of vitamin-D. Cholecalciferol (vitamin D3) supplement works by promoting the calcium absorption, Vitamin A from different organs, and phosphates and helps in maintaining overall health.
If you ever forget to take a capsule, you can take it as you recall. Prefer to skip the dose if you are already near the schedule of your next dose. Doubling up the dose or the compensation of the missed dose is not a solution so; avoid it.
Osteoporosis- refers to the condition in which bones become porous and weak as of the cause of decreased bone density; in this condition, there is a potantial risk of fractures. Hypoparathyroidism- refers to a disorder in which parathyroid hormones do not produce sufficient hormone due to which calcium levels start falling down and developing potential risk of spasms and muscle cramps. Latent tenacy- a condition developed by low calcium levels in the blood and causes spasms. Rickets- a condition characterised by the deficiency of vitamin D leads to weakening and soften the bones in adults or children. Low Blood Calcium Level- refers to a condition in which calcium falls down in the blood stream and leads to numbness and cardiac issues.
Calbona should be swallowed whole with water and should not be crushed or chewed. It is advised to take it with the main meal of the day to increase its absorption.
Calbona is important for maintaining bone health, support the health of the immune system, brain, and nervous system. It also regulates insulin levels and is also important for a healthy heart and blood vessels.
You can take Calbona at any time of the day, morning, or night. However, there is limited information available about the best time to take Calbona. Take it exactly as advised by your doctor.

Calbona should not be taken by patients who are allergic to cholecalciferol, patients with increased levels of calcium in the blood or if there is presence of calcium in the urine. Its use should be avoided by patients who have kidney stones or have severe kidney problems.
Taking too much Calbona for a long period of time may increase the levels of calcium in the blood (hypercalcemia). This may cause weakness, fatigue, vomiting, diarrhea, sluggishness, kidney stones, increased blood pressure, and growth retardation in children.
