ARTESUNATE is a member of the "anti-malarial drug" class, which is mostly utilized to treat malaria. The plasmodium parasite that causes malaria spreads by the bite of an infected Anopheles mosquito. The 'Plasmodium parasite' enters the bloodstream by the bite of an infected mosquito, affecting the red blood cells and liver cells in a healthy person.
When using ARTESUNATE, stay away from alcohol since it may exacerbate your adverse effects.
Because it has serious adverse effects on both the mother and the fetus, ARTESUNATE is not safe to use during pregnancy.
Although ARTESUNATE is found in breast milk, it's unlikely that a newborn baby—especially one who is older than two months—will have any negative effects from it. When prescribed by your physician, please use just as directed.
Patients with renal impairment should receive ARTESUNATE therapy with caution. Before using ARTESUNATE, disclose to your doctor any history of kidney problems.
Patients with liver disorders must be closely watched while receiving ARTESUNATE treatment. Before using ARTESUNATE, inform your doctor of any past liver problems.
ARTESUNATE may cause you to feel weak all around, drowsy, or lightheaded. Never handle machinery or drive a car in such circumstances.
This antimalarial medication, called ARTESUNATE, prevents the plasmodium parasite from proliferating in human red blood cells. Another form of Plasmodium parasite that causes malaria is called "Plasmodium falciparum," and its treatment is artemisinate. It functions by creating toxic compounds inside the malarial parasite, which kills the parasites.
Malaria is a potentially fatal illness brought on by parasites that enter the body through the bite of a mosquito. In nations like Africa, South America, and Southern Asia, this illness is widespread. Usually, this illness develops when a healthy person is bitten by an Anopheles mosquito carrying the "Plasmodium" parasite, which enters the bloodstream.
