Introduction to Aprezo 30gm Tablet 10s

Aprezo Tablet can be taken with or without food. Take it regularly and do not stop taking the medicine even if you get better until that doctor tells you it is alright to stop. You may need to monitor your weight regularly while taking the medicine as it may cause weight loss.

Using this medicine may cause few common side effects such as nausea, diarrhea, and vomiting. If these side effects persist or get worse, let your doctor know. Your doctor may help with ways to reduce or prevent these symptoms by prescribing you an alternative medicine or by adjusting the dose.

To make sure the medicine is safe for you, before taking this medicine, let your doctor know all the other medicines you are taking. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor first before taking this medicine.

Aprezo Tablet is a phosphodiesterase 4 (PDE4) inhibitors. It works by blocking the action of certain chemical messengers that are responsible for inflammation associated with psoriatic arthritis and psoriasis, and thereby reduces the signs and symptoms of these conditions.

How To Use Aprezo 30gm Tablet 10s

  • Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Aprezo Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How long does it take for Aprezo to work?

Aprezo is used to treat plaque psoriasis (red, scaly, thick, itchy, painful patches on skin) and psoriatic arthritis (a condition that causes joint pain and swelling). It is a long-term treatment and may take about 16 weeks to show an improvement.

What if I get pregnant during treatment with Aprezo?

In case you get pregnant while taking Aprezo, you should inform your doctor immediately. In fact, pregnancy should be avoided during treatment with this medicine. The reason being, according to animal studies, with Aprezo there may be a risk of baby loss or defects in unborn baby.

Is Aprezo an immunosuppressant?

No, Aprezo is not an immunosuppressant. It belongs to a class of medicines known as phosphodiesterase 4 inhibitors (PDE4) which work by blocking the activity of PDE4. PDE4 is found in inflammatory cells and blocking it helps in reducing the molecules responsible for inflammation.

Does Aprezo cause weight reduction?

Yes, Aprezo may cause a decrease in appetite which may further cause weight loss. You should monitor your weight regularly while on treatment with Aprezo. In case of significant weight loss, consult your doctor and consider stopping Aprezo.

Can Aprezo cause depression?

Yes, Aprezo may cause depression as a side effect. The patient may also develop suicidal thoughts. It should be avoided in patients with a history of depression. In case you develop any of these symptoms, consult your doctor immediately or ask your friends or relatives to help seek medical advice.

How should Aprezo be taken?

Be sure to take Aprezo exactly as directed by your doctor. Your doctor will prescribe a low dose initially. This dose will be increased gradually after 6 days. Swallow the tablets whole with water. You can take it with or without food.

Can I take rifampicin along with Aprezo?

You should not take rifampicin if you are taking Aprezo. Rifampicin interferes with the working of Aprezo by decreasing its levels, making it less effective. As a result, you may not see any improvement after taking Aprezo.
