Anomex Suppository is a combination of four medicines: Hydrocortisone, Zinc Oxide, Lidocaine, and Allantoin, that helps treat anal fissures . Hydrocortisone is a steroid which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy. Zinc Oxide has astringent and antiseptic action. Lidocaine is a local anesthetic which works by blocking pain signals from the nerves to the brain thereby decreasing pain sensation. Allantoin is a skin protectant that moisturizes and softens the skin.

• Remove the wrapper from the suppository before inserting it. Keep lying down for about 15 minutes after insertion so that the suppository does not come out before it melts.

• Anal fissure is a small tear in the lining of the anus that may occur when you pass hard stools. Anal fissures typically cause pain while passing stools. Anomex Suppository decreases pain sensation at the affected area and helps in passing the stools easily. It also reduces swelling, redness, itching and irritation in the anal area. It soothes the area and gives relief from burning sensation. Apply Anomex Suppository as prescribed for faster healing. Make sure to avoid spicy, oil-rich food and take plenty of fibers to aid in digestion and thus prevent hard stools.
