This medicine is made from a combination of five medicines: Ambroxol, Phenylephrine, Chlorpheniramine, Dextromethorphan, and Menthol. Phenylephrine is a nasal decongestant that makes breathing easier by treating swelling and congestion by contracting the blood vessels present in the nasal passages. Ambroxol is a mucolytic agent that relieves congestion in the airways by loosening and thinning mucus. Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant that provides relief from cough by reducing the activity of the cough centre of the brain. Chlorpheniramine inhibits histamine, which relieves allergy symptoms such as sneezing and itching. Chlorpheniramine is an antihistamine that stops the body from making histamine during an allergic reaction. Menthol is a cooling agent which soothes the throat and assists to get relief from cough.
